SymPlay is a video player for SymbOS and was written by Prodatron. It is the first available CPC application, which is able to play videos with an unlimited length from hard disc or CF card.
SymPlay supports any kind of resolution or data rate (frames per second). Depending on the computer system (Amstrad CPC, CPC TREX, C-ONE, MSX2, MSX2+, MSX turboR) and the current CPU load it adjusts the speed with skipping frames or wait periods to get always the same playback time.
SymPlay video files (*.VID) are generated with SymStudio, the windows-based IDE for SymbOS. You can also watch them with ViewMSX on a PC.
