Changes
A cartridge system was introduced with the launch of the CPC+ [[Plus]] seriesand GX4000 console.
This enabled developers to distribute games via cartridges on the new Amstrad. The cartridges are protected by the [[ACID]] chip.

The [[RAM7 Cartridge Hacker]] is able to dump the contents of a cartridge ROM without damaging the cartridge.
