Although felt to be an improvement on The multi-load aspect of the tape version of APB brought the previous James Bond game and certainly enjoyed by in for a bit of an [[Amstrad Action]] reviewer pasting! Reviewer [[Bob WadeTrenton Webb]], he critcised the fact that it was impossible to avoid the attacks of some enemies and felt that "On tape this is undermined the element of skill required to play the non-sequential gameis ponderous and irksome. This was echoed in To make matters worse even the second opinion for the game which felt that "Control pretties" - the beatings up - require a rewind and search before you can be frustratingplay on... on disk, spoiling APB is both playable and amusing. On tape the otherwise lovely animation of Bondnovelty soon wears off."
[[Computing with the Amstrad]] felt that "more variety could have made it a very good game. As it is, it's a lot better than expected, certainly good graphically but only averagely playable.
