The Z-System (ZPM) is the name for a CP/M replacement which provides much more functionality.

CPM 2.2

The Z-System is called ZCPR3:

  • ZCPR is a CCP replacement
  • ZSDOS is a BDOS replacement

In the early versions of ZPM, ZCPR was installed by patching CPM2.2, later versions use NZ-COM to make this easy.

CPM+

  • ZPM3 is a BDOS replacement
  • ZCCP is a CCP replacement that implements ZCPR 3.3
