Genesis8 is the codename of Emmanuel R.<br>
Genesis8 was the name of the french BBS dedicated to amstrad.<br>
When Internet began to be more accessible, Genesis8 created a public anonymous FTP, including lost of stuff about Amstrad : demos, music, and so on. The FTP service was hosted at IBP (Institut Blaise Pascal, ftp.ibp.fr) that became LIP6 (Laboratoire Informatique de Paris 6).<br>
Genesis8 is also the "chairman" of the newsgroup comp.sys.amstrad.8bit.<br>

In 1995, the mirror was small enouch to fit on a 100Mo Zip ; in 2008, the mirror fits in 319Mb (compressed).<br>
