In computer gaming, Pac-Man clones are unauthorized versions of Namco's popular arcade game Pac-Man.
In the simplest terms, the game mechanics involve you trying to stop your character being caught by another (which moves without predetermined routine) while collecting everything on screen that you are supposed to (or alternatively 'painting' the screen).
