Peter Campbell was the co-proprietor of [[Campursoft]], an independent software house; and of [[WACCO]], which acquired the rights for the Protext range of software when [[Arnor]] went bankrupt.
Based in Glasgow, Peter was affectionately known as "Peter fockin' Campbell". His contribution to the CPC world was immortalised in the catchphrase "Och, could you change the fockin' colours?" - after several programmers who submitted software to him had their meisterwerks constructively assessed with exactly that phrase. One of the proudest moments of the South Wales [[STS]] scene was when it was explained to Peter that no, the colours in [[ParaDOS]] couldn't be retrospectively changed to his preferred palette. To do so would require an extra byte in the [[RLE]]-encoded screen setup string, hence requiring reassembly of the entire ROM.
