Flash utility usage
The RSX commands need to be activated in order to be used. To activate the RSX commands, insert the utility disk and type:
RUN"flash
After enabling the RSX, you can use the following commands:
|FLASH,"filename",slot
Where filename is a file from CPC disc, slot is a number from 0 to 6.
Slot 0 is the BASIC slot enabled with the boot DIP switch.
The rest of slots are enabled with the enable DIP switch.
|FLASHLOW,"filename"
Same than |FLASH command but for lower ROM replacement. It's also enabled with the boot DIP switch.
Notice that this command doesn't require the slot number, since there is only one lower slot.
Important: In both commands, an empty filename means to clear the slot.
|LIST
This command lists the current slot assignments for both lower and upper ROMs.
|CLEARALL
This command clears all the slots at once, both lower and upper.
Important: After running any of the commands all the slots will be disabled until a power down is performed.
DIP Switch configuration
Switches 1 & 2 select one out of four banks. Each bank has a different lower and upper ROM set.
Switch 3 enables or disables the upper ROMs (Except BASIC)
Switch 4 enables or disables lower ROM and BASIC ROM.
