N8VEM is a Z80-based homebrew kit computer with 512 KB RAM and 1 MB EEPROM. The idea is to have a simple, expandable Z80 system (based on through-hole components only for easier soldering) for e.g. teaching or performing simple tasks like home automation.
The system supports ECB peripherals and VDUs, joystick interfaces, and hard disk I/O extension cards are available among others. Usually CP/M-80 is used as the operating system.
