A Step Beyond is a multipart demo by the group Dirty Minds. It was released in the year 2003 and contains software effects like plasma and fire effects in a continuous flow that reminds trackmo style demos. The main author (Optimus) wanted to show to the CPC scene that demos of this kind are quite possible and should be encouraged. The demo supports the Plus pallete but will also run in an old generation CPC.
