Heroes of Karn is a text adventure by Interceptor Software. It was originally released in 1983 for the Commodore 64, and was then released for the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad CPC in 1984. The aim of the game is to rescue the four eponymous heroes - Beren, the last King of Karn, and a master swordsman; Istar the Wise, a magician; Haldir the Elf-lord, a minstrel; and Khadim the Dwarf - and remove the Shadow of Darkness from the land of Karn.
