My understanding of rasters is to make coloured bars, either vertically, horizontally, diagonally or messages scrolling.
- I'm probably not the better qualified to talk about this.
I just put some overviews (some may be false) and links.
The problem is that the word Raster is over used in Demoscene but may have a bit different scientific definition.
The coloured horizontal bars are called rasters...but this is only a little use of rasters.
Also what is the difference between rasters and split rasters ? this is not always clear in my mind.
