Silent Service is a 1986 WW II Pacific warfare submarine simulation designed by Sid Meier and published by Microprose.

The was (and continues to be) highly respected, despite not being the most realistic or detailed sub sim. The CPC port suffers a bit from the choice of MODE 1 for the game.
