Talk:CPC GX4000-Multi EPROM Cartridge

Revision as of 01:30, 23 October 2009 by Gryzor (Talk | contribs)

Is this official? When was it made? By whom?

Please, more details... it's rather useless as it is! Gryzor

It is possible to build such a cartridge. You can just remove the EPROM and replace it with a socket where you can put in your own EPROMs. I already built such a cartridge, too and it works perfectly, but I used a Flash EPROM instead of a normal EPROM, but this needs rewirings because the pins are not compatible. -Octoate 21:30, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

Hope you don't mind, just cleaned up the grammar a little... Bryce. And it seems to be Orphaned (no link to this page) as far as I can see.

I added a link in the Peripherals page. Nevertheless, I still don't understand quite this little thing does... how does it allow to easily modify ROM software? Puzzled... Gryzor 06:30, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

I added a link to a site with such mod...yet less professionnally executed...lol. Is it true there is a stock of 500 ACID chip somewhere ? If so, we may have a look on the cost of a production of such Cartridge... Every one should have one, No ? Thi would be better than to cannibalize existing cartridges.

Also it seem some stuff are written in Spanish on this, we should ask the spanish CPC community ? MacDeath
