Auntie John was the pseudonym that I used when writing for WACCI, simply because my first series of articles were in the form of an "Agony Aunt" column. It seemed a good idea at the time.

After WACCI, I worked for Amstrad CPC Magazine, then an Amiga magazine, then PC magazines.. and then I got a job in the real world as a Technical Writer working for Microsoft in Seattle. I wrote the documentation that came with Visual Studio C# Express, amongst other things.

These days I'm based in Dublin, but travel to Seattle a lot, and I'm a Program Manager in a team that works on Xbox stuff.

Writing for WACCI certainly set the tone for my future career. But I can't really blame it for everything.
