Peter Campbell was the co-proprietor of Campursoft, an independent software house; and of WACCO, which acquired the rights for the Protext range of software when Arnor went bankrupt.

Based in Glasgow, Peter was affectionately known as "Peter fockin' Campbell". His contribution to the CPC world was immortalised in the catchphrase "Och, could you change the fockin' colours?" - after several programmers who submitted software to him had their meisterwerks constructively assessed with exactly that phrase. One of the proudest moments of the South Wales STS scene was when it was explained to Peter that no, the colours in ParaDOS couldn't be retrospectively changed to his preferred palette. To do so would require an extra byte in the RLE-encoded screen setup string, hence requiring reassembly of the entire ROM.
