''Stop Press'' was the debugged version of ''AMX Pagemaker''. During the debugging session, US company Aldus registered Pagemaker as a trademark forcing AMS [[Advanced Memory Systems]] to change the name. To accompany the release, a data disc of fonts and clip art was included - this was entitled ''Extra Extra''.
Page files for ''Stop Press'' could be so huge, it almost filled a side of a standard 3" disc. A third party compressor was released in 1988/9 by a company called Medway/King.
